Volunteer Schedule posted here... Without the help of you, the volunteer and dedicated FestHead, we would not make it.The Nashville Songwriter's Festival on Music Row is an underground, grass roots effort. That's what makes us different. We have FEEL. Below is a list of songwriters who have helped in the past or present. Poor Starving Songwriters with only 5 guitar strings who cannot afford to financially attend the fest can also inquire about attending as a volunteer. Volunteer Schedule posted here... |

Media and Social networking wiz Peggy Mercer just jumped right in and got both feet wet when she heard the call to help promote the fest.
Songwriting seems to take up the largest amount of space in my brain these days. I am so enthralled by the process, by the frustration, by the focus, by the end results. I have specific goals and the awareness that what I'm doing right now is everything. This IS the journey. There isn't a "someday". I love the experience of songwriting and performing, and meeting others like me. Funny - because none of us are alike and yet, all of us share this obsession. I LOVE, the good fortune of a good song idea, and the gift of the music when it all comes together. I think I'm finally doing what I'm supposed to do. Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Songwriting is the only thing that makes it all make sense.
KimMystry was originally formed in 1991 in Memphis, Tennessee by Kimberly Shelton. Kimberly performed with various bands before making her move with her music. In 1998, Kimberly met up with drummer, Diana Briddle in Tampa and after their first rehearsal, they knew the chemistry was right. The ladies immediately hit the scene as a duo and picked up bass players along the way. Their debut CD was recorded in Clearwater FL and simply entitled, KimMystry. In 2001 the girls made their way back to Kimberly's home state of Tennessee and now call Nashville their home base and playing all the Nashville hot spots. Another cool tidbit was in 2003 where Kimberly had a couple quick spots on Naomi Juds Nashville for the Travel Channel which was filmed at the Bluebird cafe. We want to take a minute and thank all of our peeps and fans that have gotten us to where are are now. Thank you for your love and support. We hope to have all of our new music on CD soon.
